A hidden Gem in Merchant City, the Single-end Cafe and Bakehouse is as ideal a placebo sit and get your work done as any. The place has a really open vibe about it, with seating downstairs and upstairs. The tables providing plenty of space to spread your work out. The staff are really friendly and helpful, not making you feel like you are in anyway overstaying your welcome!!

The place also offers a wide variety of food,as well as a good selection of beer and wine ... for when you have managed to get what needs done , done!  The atmosphere is very laid back and the music is good for focusing on the work at hand. However always better safe than sorry, so headphones should have their usual place in your study essentials.  As per usual I opted for an oat milk flat white, which only costs an extra 20 pence from the usual price.   To have a look at the menu just tap the link below

Single-end Menu

Single-End Baking
When you are making your merry way home from what was probably a graft and a half, there is a selection of freshly made baked scran, that makes a good reward.

This was my first ever visit to Single-end but it certainly won't be my last. There is something about the place that gives a productive yet laid back feeling, which helps counteract the growing stress that we are all far too aware of at this time in the semester.

Speaking of that stress .. as this is my last blog post (for the time being) I want to wish you all the best of luck for smashing your last few deadlines and for the exams that come far too quickly after.
Thanks for reading my posts and I hope they have proven useful in one way or another.

Student Discount - None (a YASS for SAAS days) Spitfire has  a high energy atmosphere  with the kind of music that makes you tap your feet or nod to  the rhythm. The place has an undeniable charm, with the art around the wall doing the name of spitfire justice. The staff have a great character to them and seem to love working there , which definitely helps lift your mood when you have an essay due that you feel you just cant do. Again Im all about the flat white, the coffee at spitfire has a proper kick to it and you cant help but love the style of the cups it comes in.  A bit more pricey than  Tapa  but it also offers a class selection of scran and a respectable list of craft beers, for after youve got sh*t done, or if your in need of some liquid ...
