A little about me and the blog

Hi Guys, Its Struan here (although i guess most people visiting the blog will know that!)  Im a 21 year old studying Marketing and Enterprise at the University of Strathclyde and like many students my Uni life is made possible by two things ...SAAS and Coffee!  It would be no exaggeration to say coffee is a huge part of my everyday life; it gets me to the 9am lectures, helps with the late night grind that far too many assignments turn into, and helps fuel all the procrastination leading up to them 😉. Its a reason to sit down and have a catch up with friends or family, or take a bit of time to yourself and relax after a solid morning of classes.
With this information in mind it shouldn't be a big surprise that some of my favourite places are coffee shops. Im not talking Starbucks, Nero or Costa, Im talking about the places that are unique to the city your in, the ones that do things in their own certain ways, the ones that have their own character, be it quirky , charmingly haphazard or just unapologetically different. So with my third year assignment schedule being truly FUBAR (don't get it? Give Saving Private Ryan a watch (not a movie blog but j.s)) and the library quite frankly amplifying the stress.
I decided it was time to combine my love of  coffee shops with my loath of close together deadlines, to make Uni a grind I could deal with ... maybe even enjoy!

In this Blog I will be cutting about Glasgow in search of the best coffee shops for students to study in, listing down the need to knows of the place such as; Is there free Wi-Fi, are the seats comfortable, how many plug sockets are there, whats the price like, do they have good food and probably most importantly is there a student deal or discount ?! If you have a place you want checked out, if you have a decent shout, or questions/ comments on what the weeks blogs about, leave a comment and I'll get back to you!
