To arrive at McCune Smith coffee shop , is akin to the feeling of entering the home of your eccentric artsy friend.  With personality brimming from every place you look, a current display by @darkroom.memoir displays artists from around Glasgow sharing their first experiences of going on stage. Accompanied by shelfs adorned by cook books and mementos that give McCune Smith its amazingly home like vibe. I always find places with their own personality far more comfortable to work in.

The coffee is strong but smooth , with oat and soy substitutes at a low price.  Despite the narrow open times, it is a definite must for an hour between lectures or to start your morning off well. The volume of music and customers  is not hectic and you can easily work without needing earphones.

Flat White

There is a wide selection of food , with plenty of vegan and vegetarian options. No student discount to be found but, the food starts at a low price for breakfast options and the higher priced items will never leave you hungry, The staff all seem to enjoy what they do and know what they are doing, Which greatly lends to the atmosphere.  With free wifi at a good speed you can comfortably get your work done without feeling stalled in any way.  The majority of seating is wooden with a few cushioned seats that have the vibe of elevated couches.

Warming soups that change with the season are available, meaning with winter coming this is a good place to get some cold combatting scran.  Water is freely available, so you can keep a good balance of caffeinated and hydrated as you work.
